Low water and bright sun made it a tough day. We managed 4 small wbt between our 2 rods, all caught fishing downstream in faster water. No rises to speak of and only the odd fish spotted on the surface later in the day.

River low, found the fish in fast water and caught all day had the farmer and his dog take a swim next door and didn't put the fish off. Meat and pellets with swim-feeder. Nice beat, could do with some rain, thanks.

Very nice stretch of the river with a good number of swims, however this is let down by very poor access to the beat. Tenant farmer was very helpful. River was low and fish taken to feeder and pellet.

On our arrival we found that the river was running really low. The day was really hot, not the best weather for fishing for barbel. We only managed to have two small chub between us. However we will be back! It's a lovely bit of water with some great swims. Good access, one side you can drive the length of the beat in your vehicle.

Great mornings fishing before we went home with a 11 pound Barbel topping the day. The owner of Vaga Cottage is concerned about anglers fishing Boys Rock and accessing it from the path above. We understand her point on the erosion of the bank but there is no easy access to the water other than clambering down the bank below the path?

Very hot day, river low, clear. Didn't even seen Barbel. I tried far bank under the bridge, 1 Chub there. Close bank to the car park in the middle, 1 Chub. Tried other 2 swims but not even bite. At 10am familly of 5 came and jumped in the river on the far bank under the bridge. Not many canoes. Lost 2 rigs in the snags. Disappointing day for me, but still nice day.

Very hot day and river fairly low we caught 1 eel and 1 chub on luncheon.
59 canoes, 6 kayaks and 2 men and a dog swimming opposite our swim. We will go back later in the year. It would be helful if fisherman could be supplied with more details of where to fish on the beats.

An early morning session which resulted in a fish first cast and plenty of knocks and taps. Unfortunately this attention was from a shoal of small Chub. One Barbel of 4lb 6ozs showed up mid session but the Chub returned and I finished up with 6 of these to 3lb 14ozs before leaving to catch the tennis. NB Despite the low river, Wyebank is still pushing through at a good pace and looks great, I'm sure that the evening would have produced more fish - maybe next time.
