Brown trout 7ins long in beautiful condition on grey nymph. Overcast weather. Decent flow of clear water.

Nice stretch, unlucky with weather conditions.

Lots of rain, very pretty beat, lots of flies hatching - mayfly, olives. Did not have the right flies in my box, just a novice. Lots of fish rising, caught and released four.

4 Trout

Arriving in the morning, the weather was great and the odd fish was rising. Fishing through a few of the pools I took a few nice Brownies on an olive dry fly imitation.
And the odd fish on the nymph.

After stopping for a bite to eat. The heavens opened up and after getting soaked, So I decided to call it a day.

As always a great day out spent on the water.

9 Trout

Water a bit low, just below one foot, 16lb silver cock fish from the Mill Stream on a BSS. Fish seen in Bridge as well.

1 Salmon

River very low and clear. Fished in morning only in very cold conditions. No fish.

2 brown trout, 8 inches, cold wet and windy day.

Fished for two hours but saw no signs of fish in the clear, shallow, water. I got a good soaking after slipping over which, together with the cold rain, made a tactical retreat back to the car seem the right thing to do.

Fished from the very bottom of the beat. Some nice looking pools, all of which had rising fish due to an ongoing hatch. Fishing not helped by the persistent rain, although I managed 4 fish, one a tiddler at 4 inches with the others 6-8 inches. All taken on an F-Fly.

Small dries. Low water. Trout to 8inches.
