Despite overnight rain the river was clear and fairly low, but it was a rainy day with no surface activity at all
Two small fingerlings and two 10" all returned

Fished the stretch through Merthyr Town from Rhydycar up to Brecon Road with a friend today. Strong winds but lots of LDO's and Brook Dunns on the water with trout feeding happily. Caught several fish each, all on dry fly patterns up to 2lb. All the fish were wild (No stockies).

Drove up from Cornwall early hours of Saturday morning, beat was very easy to find.
Hooked big fish in Legg Meadow Pool ona Flying C, only on briefly, I believe it to have been a big pike.
As tubing had deep cuts all over it. Saw 3 salmon show, 1 just above Legg Meadow Crib the other 2 were below it.
