No fish caught today. River getting low.

At 5.30pm, within 10 minutes of starting, an energetic 12lb silver salmon on a Willie Gun tube. Wonderful.
Sadly, the rocks were horrendously slimy, the worst I have ever experienced........lots of muddy slime.

1lb trout caught euro nymphing, took the point fly, beaded March Brown nymph size 14, barbless. Returned safely.
The entrance gate was tied shut with barb wire over it so we had to climb over a gate 100m up the road to get down to the river.

Only fished for 2hrs Cold windy and raining .2wbt on a gold lhead nymph including a good fish about 1lb. Nothing rising.

Nothing hatching. Air temperature low. Had a couple of bumps on a pheasant-tail nymph but very quiet. Water: clear, good flow but easily waded, with care. A beautiful stream. Site Access. Easy parking and short walk to river. Well described and easily followed.
