1 Parr, no Salmon. River running very low, with wind getting a bit gusty. Still a great place to spend the day.

A gorgeous piece of water, but I fished it when it was very low and along the whole beat only found one fish, which i promptly spooked with a poor cast.
If you like your fishing picturesque and isolated and don't mind not seeing too many fish I'd recommend this place!

Blank. Oh my, I do find this one challenging! You need to be early, before the vegetation grows over it, you need a windless day to help you cast accurately up the tiny channel, and it should be warm enough for fish to be rising. Nothing was rising today and no less than four heavy tractors planting potatoes in the top end fields next to the stream didn't help. As before, saw plenty of fish in places, including some fat trout running for cover, but all of them seemed already to have been spooked. It's an amazing little river though, full of life.

Beautiful beat and glorious weather for sunbathing. River already getting a bit low so combined with sunshine made for difficult going. No fish seen or contacted apart from zillions of fry.

Very warm and sunny day. Never saw a salmon or had a pull all day, though did see a large pike below the bend, and a trout chasing minnows in Vanstone.

Had a 1.5lb brown trout third cast on a small tube which pulled hard and had me thinking it was a grilse for the first minute or so.

8 hours later that was the only fish I'd had. Didn't see any Salmon.

Water level was around 6 inches. Some of the pools were great for the fly but overall I reckon it would be better at 8-10 inches, possibly a foot.

Fished this on the 7th and 9th of May 2013 - Blanked but enjoyed. It rained on the 9th. Although no fish caught, I still enjoyed fishing these beautiful scenic waters.

Landed one and lost one WBT on czech nymph gear. Saw one other fish which rose to LDO but didn't like my presentation and promptly spooked!
A beautiful day to be out but the water was very, very low and i'm sure this had an effect on the quality of the sport...
