Absolutely stunning lake, and had a great days fishing. Caught four trout, biggest about 10oz, most acrobatic brownie i have had the pleasure of catching. All caught about half way round the lake, where it seems to shallow off a bit, on a grhe nymph. All caught within half hour of each other, then it went quiet again. Will definitely be coming back though.

Lovely varied water. Morning Grannom hatch, bright sunshine and gusting downstream breeze.

Perfect evening, massive grannom hatch, fish full so not much activity. Getting the casting going better with all the practice I'm getting, but the salmon don't award points for artistic merit it would appear. I'll keep grafting away and hope for a stupid one.

Only two to hand. Water low and crystal clear, no hatches and limited fly life. Could see several fish above twelve inches but could only raise 2, both twelve inchers. After trying various drys and nymphs had to concede to the fact they were not up for it.

Pleasant day but with a cold wind, blowing straight down the river. Good hatch of olives at 12noon when wind dropped, fish started rising and I connected with a couple before the wind got up again and it went dead after a 10min flurry.

The trout were caught just before midday on the dry during a brief hatch of Olives. The wind was cold and also made made casting difficult at times blowing straight into our faces throughout the day.
The o/s grayling were taken on ptn, all fish were returned.
Thanks to the booking office, seamless process as always.

Warm but very windy making casting quiet difficult at times. No fish in the morning but a small hatch of LDO around 1pm brought some fish to the surface one lucky cast produced an immaculate trout of around 2 pounds. A small hatch of march browns around 3ish helped me net a fish larger than the first, I would believe it to be in the region of 3 pounds. The river was clear but still a little cold. Great beat I will be back, well done the Wye & Usk.

River quite high but warm at last. Little insect life and no trout interested yet. 2 large grayling prowling the shallows.
