Had a great day with the guiding help from L D from Swansea(capturedonline.co.uk) fished from 10am till 4pm. There were a few fish rising we got there, managed one to the net a missed two on dries.
Then went onto a wet fly set up which accounted for the other four trout .Insects started to appear mid afternoon went back onto dry flies, no luck left around 4pm as had got quite cold by then

All fish taken on nymphs, combo of ESN and Duo.
Temperature down to 5/6 deg. Cold wind upstream and light drizzle on and off.
Light Olive hatch during the day. Fish didn't seem to be dialed into them. Odd fish rising inconsistently, observed them being very selective and allowing multiple naturals to drift over them and not move. The fish were more active very late in the day.

Very cold (7 deg) but lunchtime sun brought slight hatch.

Very cold northerly wind. No fly life. Both fish euro nymphing. Best 2lb4oz

Tricky fishing with low clear water. Cold snap made things more difficult. Only nymphing resulted in one to the net between two of us

Water very cold, river about a foot higher than usual for late April. No hatch, no fish!
