11 fish in total plus plenty of other action. Biggest fish 1 3/4lb. Fin perfect fish on goldhead from gutter at very top of beat. 4 other fish over a pound and the rest 10 inches. Fish rising to pale wateries and fairly large sedges all afternoon in the riffled water and bodies of all pools; responding to klinkhammers and red-tags. Finished off as the sun set at the glaslyn, with a solid fish of well over the pound from the pool tail. Cracking fishing as always.

A lovely day with 26 grayling falling to various bugs and spiders, as well as to a dry Grayling Steel Blue, and to pale watery and hare's ear emergers. Some PWs and small olives around from late morning but not too many fish actually rising - still clearly looking up though!! Most fish 9-10 inches but about nine of 13-14 inches. Always a delight to fish here.

What a stunning beat. Just being at Llanfechan is a pleasure, the scenery is superb and I was lucky enough to have the whole stretch to myself on Sunday. 12 Grayling and 2 out of season BT caught, mostly Czech Nymphing. Caught my largest ever Grayling (1lb 15oz) which was fantastic, also lost three which were bigger! Finally I was treated to the amazing sight of a large Otter right in front of me! Spotted it on the bank whilst I was standing mid river, it slipped into the water and proceeded to have a little swim in the pool before heading off downriver. I just stood and watched in awe, an amazing sight and a superb day.

Once again a real pleasure to fish this beat. Weather was overcast with some wind. Catch returns as follows - Ian Mellings, 6 Grayling and one Trout, all on dry fly. Tom Hitchman, 7 Grayling and 5 Trout, all on dry fly.

Fished here the previous Saturday (02/10), and forgot to send in the catch returns which are as follows. Ian Mellings, 2 Grayling, both on dry fly. Tom Hitchman, 3 Grayling and 2 Trout, all on dry fly.

Excellent service from WUF as always.

Enjoyable day exploring the Carodoc beat. Water around 2ft over summer levels and dropping through the day. Plenty of features on this water though some swims snaggy. Long day of zealous work to find the fish. Between us we had 11 barbel, 7lbs - 8.25lbs, most in pristine condition + three chub. One barbel looked like it had been gored by cormorant or heron. All mouths in good condition (praise to those who use barbless hooks/tether free rigs). All caught on 12mm pellet. No problem driving along the bank as relatively dry track.

First time on this beat. Water very high, coloured and going at a pace. We walked the beat looking for a gentle slope to the water as my 10 year old grandsom was with me. We found a spot but with a very slippery slope. Callum went for long trotting using maggotts and corn catching several dace. He then took over my ledger with peperomi and a bait feeder. We had some chub but small up to 2lbs.

About 30 minutes to darkness I took some equipment to the car and on my return Callum had landed a 6lb 11oz barbel, half a pound short of his best. This time on the hair rig he had a halibut pellet, slice of pererami and a piece of luncheon meat; by the way we had tuner mixed in with the hemp and corn feeder bait.

Not an easy day but good sport. In the darkness I dropped two rod tips at the White Cottage gate where you park. If anyone finds these please advise the Foundation.
