River lowish and clearish
All fish on pellets. Couldn't buy a bite on the float, but a feeder in the same line produced plenty. A couple of the chub quite big, probably fives.
Barbel 5-7lb.
....and then it rained. Thunderstorms from mid-afternoon until dusk. Decidedly damp by the time we returned to the vehicles.

3 chub caught on feeders and 1 barbel lost. Conditions normal. Heavy rain came in and thunder. Banks became a hazard as mud was like ice. Had to pack up after 2 hours fishing.
