All fish carefully released alive . Two were on the pound mark and fought hard . A very enjoyable day on this lovely beat. Unfortunately , a cold downstream wind scuppered the evening rise .

Very overgrown now reducing casting throughout the beat.Nymph only ,no takes to the dry.

Overcast day, quite chilly in exposed areas. Between the two of us landed 3 small trout, 2 on worm & 1 on fly.
Plus 6 pesky Perch.

Bait worm and current no bites no hits no luck no fish!

I found this stretch to be very overgrown and difficult to wade for a 75 year old. There were a few mayfly about and some fish were rising. Caught one small trout and lost a couple of others, all on a mayfly emerger pattern.

1 x brown trout 10''. Taken on a dry from the nice glide at the bottom of the beat. Plenty of trout activity in the evening just before dark.
