The river was up and very coloured but fishable. Fished noon until 5pm and had 9 chub. No barbel which was surprising.

River still pushing through ,just happy to catch a few fish.

Water Temperature had dropped further from yesterday, made the fishing tough.

12lb hen salmon caught in Cafn Stream.

Nyth total catch for 2023 (much reduced fishing effort, and seemingly very low salmon numbers present.).

Staying very close by in Pennorth so couldn’t resist a cast on the last day of the season, more out of hope than expectation. Top half and very bottom of beat inaccessible as whilst waters had receded after v heavy weekend rain, access was still limited. No sign of salmon but a couple of o-o-s trout swiftly returned and plenty of knocks.
