Only one rod fished as unfortunately my partner was unable to make the trip....River here was a touch higher than anticipated with the beach area underwater and very pacey...I managed to find some fish though on feeder and float with the highlight being 2 nice Grayling!! Has been 2 or 3 years since I last caught one so a delightful surprise....Best Barbel was about 8lbs and it was pleasing to fish here without being disturbed with kayaks/swimmers etc so a really good day.

River up about .95m at Ross but entirely fishable. I just couldn't locate them but other Anglers in our party caught well. Good decision to leave the car at the top of the hill as I wouldn't have got back up in my rear drive estate car!

The water was much higher than expected and dark brown. I saw two fresh salmon, but only managed to hook two out of season BT. Both return swiftly and without damage.

We never found a pod of grayling and this might well have been due the colour and depth of water. Wading was far more difficult than usual so access was more of a challenge.

Lovely day though. 3 grayling and an out of season trout. All returned.

Disappointing results on what looked like a nice piece of water. The problem was, there are few obvious looking spots, the river is very big ( 60 to 80 yards wide ) but it is all 1 to 3 feet deep all over. The bed is all made up of football sized rocks so the surface is all bumpy and fast flowing. I don't recomend parking at bottom of beat because you have a 1/2 mile difficult walk to get to any fish able water ! The fish I did catch were also very small.
