A good day. plenty of bites.

4 Barbel, 5 Chub

River just starting to rise and rain most of the day so pretty good conditions. The only issue was having a pike in the swim causing havoc all evening.

6 Barbel, 9 Chub

Difficult to find entry/access, similar to many spots on the Wye but had a great day fishing on this marvellous river.

How dissapointed were we to find How Caple Court was unfishable. All the entrace's to the river stopped with at least 10 foot drop to the water, not what I would call a swim. we decided for safety reasons not to fish.

Three anglers . three barbel loss in a snag. Lots of chub biggest around 5lb

A tough day, water was high, wind was high and there were loads of leaves floating about. Nevertheless we had a great time.. managed 2 small trout on Nymphs (hares Ear).

Will definitely return in better conditions :)

No Salmon, will keep trying! It was a tough day as there were loads of leaves coming down the river with a strong wind up river.

Will definitely return!
