Caught on an orange collared pheasant tails nymph.

Changeable weather, lovely to be out of London and on the river.
LDOs were coming off from mid morning but we didn't find any rising fish.
8 WBT landed between the two of us, biggest 19".

Weather too extreme!

Very overgrown and unkept.

I started at 10.00am with the gauge at 2’4, just about ok for the fly, but the river lifted slowly again and was carrying quite a lot of colour when I packed up at 4.
Gravel catch and Bridge yielded a few good trout to big tubes but another salmon blank today.

Not a rising fish to be seen with only a small amount of fly life. All fish taken on nymphs. Nothing over a pound in weight

It’s a lovely beat, me only issue with it, is the owners love for Barbed Wire on the gates. It’s really quite difficult to get over the main access gate without ripping your waders
