The swims were very overgrown so there was only 2 to choose from so the stretch could do with some pruning/TLC

X1 taken on a nymph mid afternoon, weather brighten up. X 3 on a dry sedge pattern caught lower down the beat.

3 Trout, 1 Grayling

Sunnier day. River up slightly more from previous day's rain. Felt like great conditions. All fish on either halibut pellet or pellet and paste from beat 3, left bank, outer bend. Both beards around 7lbs. Smashed up on two more. A great weekend, camping at The Pound, foraging at The Boat Inn.
(Other was a minnow!)

My first time fishing Beacons Reservoir. Had to work hard for my fish. Wind was gusting off the dam end and the high water levels made traversing the banks tricky in places where I couldn't wade. Good average size fish with the biggest around 1.5lbs. Great day out and will come again!
