A nice surprise early this morning with a lively coloured hen caught at the top of the beat. She’d been in the river for a little while but was in good condition with no sign of any fungal lesions. Netted briefly and quickly returned.
The river is starting to clear slightly but at 6.30am spinning was perhaps the only option.
1’8” on the gauge. The fish came to a black and gold FC in the Rock Pool. About 11lbs.

River Rheidol.
Caught one Brown Trout ~0.5lb on a Rapalla. Returned. 4hrs on the river.

6lbs and 8lbs on ledgered halibut pellet. Fish in great condition.

5 barbel 5-7lb fished a boilie over regular fed pellet on a straight lead

Managed to get car up the hill in between rain showers. 4 barbel to 9.5lb was a bonus.
