All fish caught on variety of medium weight beaded nymphs in deep pockets of faster water. Hooked around 9 fish but only got 5 to the net. Released in good condition. Fish rising to prolific hatch as I was leaving at about 8.45 pm.

One barbel of 8lb and plenty of chub to 4lb. The other was an eel.

Usk low and clear after no rain in weeks and another hot day. Plenty of pools and pocket water to creep up on though. One 10” wbt on the wet in the morning. A couple of larger fish seen but not moved. Lots of lazy rises towards the evening, but don’t think I managed to figure out what they were taking! First time on the Usk, will definitely return..

Low river level, with little to no takes. Only managed to hook 2 small trout with dry dropper.
