River was perfect for Barbel we caught 24 up to 9lb 6oz & 1 solitary chub, sincere apologies to other angler on the beat for the disturbance caused trying to retrieve a landing net washed into his swim by the rising water levels.

Not even Storm Babet and the river at 2.3m could stop me taking on the hill again. Glad I made the effort as a steady flow of barbel came and finally finished with 10 up to 8lb 9oz. Groundbait and pellet feeder doing the business. It would be so nice if a tunnel could be dug through the hill though, as the walk doesn’t get any easier.

River very coloured and rising on arrival with lots of debris coming through. Found a fishable peg and had a testing but most enjoyable day on the bank with a lovely barbel each. Definitely return next year to the beautiful river wye. Thankyou all.

One rod fished meat all day, the other pellet wrapped in paste
One barbel 10lbs weighed
One barbel no more than 3lbs unweighed
3 chub 3-5lbs unweighed
Fished upstream of the rope bridge. We were glad to have heeded advice to carry rope to access some swims.
Access from upstream entry good, parking easy. Our first time on the fishery and hope to be back soon.
Booking was easy and very efficient. Many thanks for a very enjoyable day.
