A very well maintained beat, strimmed and stepped.
Barbel between 4 and 8lbs. Chub 2 to 5.5lbs. All on feeder tactics.

Tough but enjoyable day, fished various nymphs through all the deep runs off fast water, all the little nooks and crannies along the bank, but no joy, not a single rise seen all day, access to some of the pools difficult as banks are high, but wading relatively easy as no real flow.

We fished all 4 fields and caught all fish on meat only. River was low , other were eels. Thanks to the land owner for clearing so many swims.
