River at 1.8m and very slowly falling, water temp 10.4, water coloured but not dirty with 2 foot vis, air temp 15.
Fished 3 swims, one up the top and 2 down the bottom, 1 barbel up the top and 4 down the bottom, fish between 4lb and 6.08lb on halibut pellet and GB feeder. Both chub small. A beautiful autumn day, trees in an array of colours, where a light sweatshirt was sufficient and a few fish to boot. Thank you WUF.

River conditions in full flood following recent period of heavy rain. Max casting distance approx 15 to 20 metres otherwise lead pulled too far downstream. Weather today dry and overcast. River slowly dropping but still heavy flow beyond 20 metres. Warm Light ssw winds occasional gusts. Good conditions. End peg on the left bank selected. Other pegs not easily fishable due to flooding. Fishing to 15 max 20 metres. 3oz lead free running with 3ft mono rig with
long braid hair to meat mainly / meat buried in size 8 hook. 2 very powerful barbel lost on meat buried in hook - better fish on bigger baits. 1 small barbel and 2 chub landed. Lots of chub biting all day/ stealing meat off the hair. Fed with pellet and sticky marine halibut/krill gb. Barbel runs on larger lumps of cheesy garlic and hemp glugged luncheon meat. Rebooked weds 9th to friday 11th...hopefully hook more and land at least one of the biggger barbel!

First time at the creel. River swollen, but mild. Tried opposite island but no joy. Moved upstream and despite difficulty holding bottom, managed to get 4 x barbel on meat. Nothing on pellets

Unfishable, bank high and belting through. A 6oz lead wouldnt hold bottom let along trying to trot a float!

Was hoping for the best with the weather we've had but arrived to find it well up and seriously pushing through. Was on the verge of giving up but then had a flurry of activity early afternoon fishing in the downstream field.
Fished feeders with extra leads up to 8oz and still struggling to hold bottom but when it held bites came.
4 smaller fish, one of 3/4lb and the rest 6+ up to 7.10.
All went quiet but suspect that was something to do with the otter patrolling the near margin during the afternoon. Always worth the 2 hour drive!
