Warmer than yesterday and couple of light showers.
Fishing from the oak into open water produced 5 common carp.....7lb / 11lb/12lb /10lb and 14lb 12oz amazingly hard fight from all, I also had a nice bream of 7lbs which also unusually for a bream put up a fight all the way to the net !
Another enjoyable day here and very much looking forward to next year, will be back !

Lovely mild day, river fining down after heavy rain and overcast conditions. Unfortunately the Chub & Barbel were not playing ball today. One fish on boilie and feeder at beginning of day and one on meat at end of afternoon. Bites were almost non existent whatever the hook bait for large parts of the day.
Ten or more swims fished and several more re visited Just one of those days. Until the next time!

Water was a good height and all fish were a good size. Trout seemed more active than grayling, even to deeply fished bugs

Area:Lower Wye

Beat:Wyebank

Fishing:Coarse

No. of Anglers:2

The water was high, fast and coloured. A passing regular Wyebank angler stopped and suggested we request a wash off but after a two hour drive we decided to fish and concentrate on the near bank water with its slower flow. Meat worked. Tried pellets but no takers.

Four chub to fly angler MH, re-visiting coarse fishing after an interval of 45 years. The other (and smallest) chub to TH. A few other fish lost, two possibly barbel but didn’t get a visual. Still, a pretty good day in those conditions.

5 Chub
