Stream clear on a beautiful stretch of river. Glorious day breezy but sunny. Much interest in my klinkhammer having experienced 5 of 6 nibbles from small fish. My lack of skill failed to catch. Greenwells Glory saved the day at around 5 pm when I caught a 6 to 7” inch brownie. Beautiful red spots on the flank.
Directions to beat were excellent.

Only fished for an hour as the river was low and hinting at at bloom in the deeper pools. Was delighted to get a lovely brownie, just under 1lb, though in a deep pool which took a sunken Wulff fly.
