Stream as low as I can remember. no fly life until a warm spell late afternoon, when some activity; one fish to the bank on an Adams klink.

Didn’t fish this beat we walked the beat first and access to the water was very poor and the hill on the way back was to much for us

2 of us fished and caught on a mix of dries, duo and nymphs. Many more fished missed. Fab day on beautiful stretch of river.
Best grayling circa 2lb. Beat owner really friendly and helpful with tips.
Also kindly arranged last minute evening beat tickets for the Friday we arrived via WUF.
We will be back.

Lovely day not many fish gin clear very low

1 Barbel, 1 Chub

Very very low and water was super clear.
Saw lots of good sized trout and managed to get a couple deep in the heads of pools.

2 Trout

The water had cleared this morning but was still a strong black tea colour. Sporadic rises gave us something to aim at and we soon caught a couple of brown trout to 1lb on Klinkhamer flies. It then went very quiet with little fly life coming off the water so we brewed up and had lunch. We roamed through the downstream section of the beat but apart from tiny fish taking the wet fly, we landed nothing worth noting until the sun started to drop. We headed to the lower and slower part of the beat for the last session and caught trout, grayling and chub up to the 1lb mark on dry flies. The water felt cold and it was not easy fishing but we enjoyed the day immensely in spite of our meagre catches.
