2 lively rainbow trout were caught (and released unharmed). Good sport. Fish biting like crazy before 9AM.

All fish caught spinning using a #3 gold coloured Mepps lure, and hooked within 15 metres of the water's edge.

One very large brown trout lost close to shore. Strong fish!

Tough going today. Saw plenty of rises throughout the day and a variety of hatches. 1 chub on dry and one out of season grayling on nymph is faster water. Could do with some rain. Suspect I was spooking most pools.

3 persons fishing each on their own 4 fish permit. 9 caught altogether, 8 rainbow and 1 brown. Brown returned along with 3 rainbow. 5 taken for the pot.

All caught on a spinner. Fly fishing attempted at different times throughout the day but no success.

A good day out on the water and good to see checks being made by bailiffs that day permits had been paid for. Popped for lunch in the NRW run Garw Nant, can highly recommend.

Water level was a bit too low so nothing caught but it's a lovely stretch of water and will definitely be back in better conditions.

Tried to access upper part of beat without success. Got about as far as sheepcote before bankside became impassable. Possibly it is accessible via road? So spent a pleasant few evening hours fishing island stream which is easily fish able in low water. Caught 3 trout, 1 on a dry, 1 on spiders and another on nymph. Clouds of insect life above river. Fish rising but picky. Lots of holidaymakers in river at Boatside. Will have to come back to try and find a way to the top of the beat!

A lovely remote stream at Pandy. A successful few hours fishing and around 2pm May flies started emerging and I could see fish taking them. This provided an opportunity and I caught 3 WBT around 10 inches long with many more refusals, takes were hard and fast. All caught on a May fly Duns size 12
