Lovely day on the river but we only caught a little Salmon parr between us

Walked the whole reservoir spinning from 8 o clock, just about to call it a day but decided to try the area a started at, and bang 4 rainbow in an hour

All of the fish were caught at the top which is the only part of the beat that is worthwhile at the the moment.Spooky fish in the low water with only 5” on the gauge and the cool downstream breeze meant that there weren’t many rising either side of midday. A few olives, and a sparse grannom hatch but no mayfly seen.
An early finish , but I did spend a few hours fishing small salmon flies through the deeper pools at the bottom .Nothing touched or seen.

All taken on a mepps spinner. No fish all day then 4 in half an hour in the evening
