All on float fished meat, no sign of barbel

Bright and sunny with a downstream wind made it hard going today. Saw the odd rise and disturbed a couple of fish while moving between swims. Nothing took an interest in the fly however.

all fish caught meat, chub very good stamp. after the rapids did notice sewage streaks in the foam( large pool )

10 x grayling 6-14 inches, 1 x trout 12 inches, for Mike Satterthwaite. Traditional grayling wets, Grayling Steel Blue and Yellow Bumble.

A bright day with clear low and clear water, so not easy fishing. All fish taken on PTN un der Klink'. Lots of signs of life on the river, which is great to see after a tough few months.

After a cossetted summer on Cotswold chalk streams, it was good to be back on a wild river de bonne heure this morning, on a decidedly autumnal day. Not that there was much wildness with the Lugg today; I cannot remember seeing it with so little water - and I don't just mean level, there was next to no flow either. Not that the Grayling appeared to mind; I caught fish after fish, with Grayling coming from just about every run that I covered - usually 2 or 3 per run, sometimes 5 or 6

Two dozen plus from upstream before lunch, and almost as productive downstream in the afternoon. I am tempted to sandbag low with the number, but we are all friends here, so let's call it 40 shall we. Mostly fish in the 8 to 10 inch year class, with a handful of bigger fish. All on the same Endrick Spider

Probably only the third or fourth time I have fished that oh so enticing pool in front of the Cottage in the 20 years that I have been fishing this beat. This was at the insistence of the occupier - the same occupier that give me two bags of apples to take home with me

Great stretch of river, one wild brownie of about half a pound on a 2/3 weight rod to a grey duster fished upstream dry (returned safely). Low river, sunny and light wind so not ideal conditions but a lovely day.
Wasn’t sure where to park although I did find all of the access points. Do I park tight to these in the slight indent they provide? Deff be back next year as tried all day for a salmon but realised that I’ll need several days to stand a chance. Vince at LAA was really helpful via emails so many thanks.
