Lots of strong fighting trout from the fast water on nymphs. Some nice technical dry fly fishing on the flats later in the day on small olives.

A brief mayfly hatch started to move fish but most of the day was very quiet in low water conditions.

My son and I fished under the 1 ticket and ended up being a good day. Very windy at times but we caught our limit 6 all by 4 o’clock

Fished Cronkley Bridge area. Bit windy which made casting awkward however the fish were looking up. Balloon caddis caught well with spiders when the fish switched off from the dries.

Cloudy and colder than of late so surprised to see masses of May fly hatches. Fish preoccupied with spent May so quite tricky but managed a couple on a drowned Grey Wulff

Very low and clear! Had a couple of hours but no fish seen. Lovely location but shame to see what looked like rubbish from farm dumped and and what looked like signs of vegetation treated with herbicide nearby

Water lovely but very windy. Difficult casting. Would definitely recommend and come back in better weather conditions.
