The river was up by 3 ft and rising perfect conditions for the Barbel.
16 Barbel caught between 4 anglers all fish caught on feeder tactics great day had by all.
Thanks to Stephan for the work he's done on the venue making it easier for older people like me to get up and down the banks great stuff.

Despite not catching after the river was high, this was still a wonderful day and a chance to experience another beautiful beat. Varied and interesting, I cant wait to get back when the water levels are slightly lower.

Method feeder using various baits i.e. pellets, luncheon meat and ground bait

BLANKED - gave up at lunchtime. I would be the 1st to admit I am no good when river is like thick soup and hammering through, estimate 2 feet higher than on Tuesday, probably been able to manage the flow but for the huge amount of debris, particularly leaves and lots of branches, the result of the very strong winds overnight. biggest pull of the day was a 3 ft long 8in thick log where only a tiny branch visible above the water. Obviously disappointed but some days are like that, bad days make the good ones feel even better.
