First visit to this beat. A couple of hours nymphing in the evening on the lower part without contact other than a minnow & that foul-hooked, but there are some good fish here - one went upstream past me in a riffle. Pools very slow and often surprisingly deep.

A great days fishing, although conditions were not good. Chub caught from multiple pegs along the stretch, biggest was 4.5lb. Unfortunately no Barbel caught. Other fish caught was a Dace (on a boilie).

Only small chub whilst trotting and 2 around 4 lb on swim feeder pellet

It all comes down to location.....if your not catching in one spot after a hour....move.!!! With the river so low they are shoaled up and once you find them ..!!! will know better next time

An enjoyable day in some lovely surroundings. Fished pellet and corn with the former the more successful bait.

Tough day. 1 small barbel approx 2lb and several small chub.
