6 Brown trout circa 6>9inches .
5 grayling again around 6>9 inches.
All in perfect condition and returned unharmed.

No fish caught. Not that surprising as one rod had never fly fished before (and doesn't fish) and the other rod was tutoring a lot and isn't that experienced on rivers anyway. Plus we only fished the middle of the day. The setting is great, kingfishers, dippers etc. The water was incredibly low. We saw several fish in the deeper pools but the only fish rising consistently that we saw, was safely tucked away under a tree!

My friend & I caught six trout between us - lost a few and missed lots! The rain stayed off and we had a fantastic day!

not a sausage. despite a good rise just as it got too dark.
Also managed to fall in. Good day all round.

The sun was out and the water low and clear, fishing was difficult. Seen plenty of fish patrolling the river and lots rising. Had one take of a crane dry but the fish ripped it off. Failed to tempt any of the others.

Both anglers caught 2 Trout each
they really enjoyed their day
