River was pretty washed out from the rain before and through the day and running strong, making access a little tricky in some spots.
Water was completely muddy, with only a few inches visibility, and loads or debris.
Fishing the foam / debris line I had one surface take on a red tag.
The only productive method I found was to tight line nymph the edges of Eddy's and foam lines with bright fly's roza pink tag, pink shrimp, orange something, and at the end of the day a few on a squirminator.
Epic stretch of river would love to see it on a clearer day.

Wye was heavily coloured and flowing fast. Rained on and off throughout the day. Two anglers fished. We cast close in as fishing the middle and far side was unfishable - 4oz leads/feeders were pulled downstream. 3 chub to 4 lb max size were caught. Off road parking available with a walk to the river.

First time on this beat, river was low when booked and was hoping to have a bit of a wander around with the float ???? river was tanking through so settled into a swim just below the bridge with a inside crease that looked interesting, just got the brolly up and it started to rain and didn’t stop. One of the barbel was 5 to 6 lb other much smaller, chub were between 1 and 3lb, all on luncheon meat

Tough day on a river almost 3m up overnight and with incessant rain all day. We roved the stretch and found fish in several swims. Finished the day with a lovely barbel over 9lb (others around 5lb mark). Another very enjoyable day on a cracking W&U stretch despite fighting the elements and the high river.
