Didn't catch a fish....

1 trout and another lossed on a morning session.

1 out of season grayling

Caught on a tungsten head red and black nympth

River low. Very warm day. No rises at all even with plentiful hatches. Used duo in margins, one trout about 10ins beautifully camouflaged then another take by deep pool on the bend, but came off. Plenty of fry to be seen, perhaps their main diet!
Caution, don't park in the field as livestock are around.

Fished the bottom section for a few hours first thing, trout all the same size, about 6 ozs but fun to catch as missed several and a tiny grayling, all on nymphs.

Great place to fish,caught three trout on worm. Staff always friendly and helpful. Looking forward to my next booking

Early start on Rectory this morning, only Shad to the fly . No silver customers showing anywhere along the beat . Water levels are dropping and in need of another rise . Nice day out though .
