The fish just didn't seem to be biting, although it was a very hot day. Did catch a Twait Shad though that I was very excited about (which was safely returned).

Beautiful stretch of river. The wading was difficult at low water, cannot imagine what it would be like with any sort of flow. Very few fish seen rising.

Hard days fishing, hard to find, no real parking, swims are very hard to access probably only about 4 swims you can actually fish, will not be going back, which is exactly what all the other anglers I spoke to said, was so excited for my trip to the wye and when I arrived I was very disappointed , did have a few small chub between me and my friend, but for the amount you spend on the ticket there are much better places on the wye to fish.

A very enjoyable day,the weather was sunny with some cloud. It was nice to have the fishing lodge to make it easier to change. The 3 fish caught were Grayling all on dry fly, about 10” long.

Low clear river, bright conditions. Barbel up to 9.4, caught from 2 swims towards upper end of beat. Around 15 decent chub up to 5.4, rest chublets. One eel. Feeder tactics with boilie, paste or pellet produced. Plenty of swims to go out, well cleared. Lower end of beat limited a little by anglers on the far bank, most fish were caught further upstream though. Good opening day!

Very difficult day for me , very low crystal clear and bright sun light , I definitely need a guide for this beat to know how to fish it in difficult conditions and best swims to fish
