bit high and coloured for fly. I did not fish but young NJ from Swansea gave it his best, thought it was very fishy and would like to return when conditions better.

I’ve always wanted to fish this beat but never got round to it , finally here !
Great access to the river and parking , probably one of the most picturesque venues on the river wye .
Fished from 2pm till 10 with bites becoming more frequent into the evening as you’d expect , an absolute joy fishing here can’t wait to come back .
Thanks WUF for making places like this available to us anglers

4 Barbel, 3 Chub

Fishing for salmon, but caught 4 trout in the 1 to 2lb category. All returned.

Seemed like a perfect day - cloud cover, about 2ft 8 inches on the river in total and still coloured after the floods.
Fished all swims on the stretch tried the usual pellet - all types, meat, and corn.
Not one single tap all day between us!!!!!!!!!!!
No fish caught!!!!!!!!!??????????????

After heavy rain that morning the river was coloured and up a bit and found feeder fishing with pellets worked well. Nice beat well looked after by Colin and nice to see Salmon jumping.

very heavy rain in morning brought river up 8 inches or so ,better day largest was 10 lb 2 ,.very happy angler ,

Had a lovely fishing late evening... but didn't catch any trout, although they were raising.
But all in all a lovely experience – will be back for sure!

9Lb hen fist from beat 4 this morning, yellow & black tube fly.

1 Salmon

Only fished for a couple of hours in the morning due to other commitments and wished we hadn't bothered! Torrential rain from the offset and just a Chub each to show for our efforts. Still, a fine couple of days on the Wye and we look forward to returning soon.
