Didn't fish. Access to swims a bit too tricky for me. Time catching up with my old bones!

clear water, bright day fished beat 2 and the long walk down to beat 4...hard work. not the best stretch when waters up - "leaves on the line" meant the feeeder was never in for too long so i guess easier to spook the fish.. and there's not a heap of swims to rotate through. Still a lovely quiet day on the river

River settled down since recent floods but still running fast. 6 Grayling caught during 4 hours fishing all on the lower beat. All fish caught tight line nymphing. 2 lovely sized fish. KM

Beautiful day and a nice way to start my stay. Sadly no fish caught but a good few plucks and pulls from smaller fish. Will return in the spring.

Fished upstream from the car park, one barbel 9lb 1oz on meat.
Only fished for 4 hours mid morning to mid afternoon.
