Spinning with mepps, not a lot of action. Caught one small brown trout. Beautiful river to pass the day.

No trout caught but a great day on a stunning part of the usk. Fished the upper beat. Drizzly day. Seen lots of WBT cruising but not feeding. Tried dries and nymphs but nothing taking. Passed again on way back from the cider mill about 8.30pm and lots of rising fish. Will try later in the day next time. Definitely will pay a visit before season ends in September.

Fished the evening after a day of drizzle and rain.
Stunning beat, flanked by ancient oak trees and mossy banks.
Wading is challenging, mainly bedrock and some deep fast pools, be extremely careful, take a wading stick.
Had five fish, nothing big, lost another four. Klink, PTN etc... Saw a salmon, or a large trout leap and the tail of Quarry pool.
Fished until dark, but didn't make it to the top of the beat.
The perfect beat if you like it challenging and wild. Probably the most unspoiled fishing I have had in the UK.

Heavy rain conditions, fished suspender buzzer and buzzers on floating line.
No fish seen to rise, there was a prolific hatch of small grey winged flies in the lake edges.

Nice afternoon expected a lot more rain so given the water temp a good result.
Had a double figure salmon chase my feeder several times and large pike chasing silver fish all afternoon.
Add in the wildlife - a very entertaining afternoon
