Very hot and bright. A few fishing moving first thing but then very quiet. I persisted with the dry but could add nothing to the 2 caught before 11.00hrs. Best fish approx 1.5lbs.

A few hours at Noke today, I agree with the previous post, this stretch needs a little less water on it. The water was quite coloured, making wading in the deep pools difficult. I started on dry and was soon rewarded with a beautiful 12 inch fish, sadly that was the only one. I persevered with dry for most of the day, switching to nymph later on. There were sporadic hatches but I didn't see a single fish rise all day.

Lovely little beat. Fished from 11-2 and 3-7. More action in the afternoon with a good amount of insect life and the odd rising fish. I had two strikes on a dry and no interest in my attempts with a PT nymph, unfort nothing landed. Some nice pools that I’m sure have some good fish lurking...

Very hot and sunny. Little or no fly on the water. Nymphs did not work for me. A dry Greenwells brought a few fish up. Mostly small and one better one.

Trout very shy and difficult fish. Maybe the full blasting sun and the otter played their part in that. Still a wonderful day!

Not the best weather conditions, very warm, clear skies an bright sunlight. Also being a bank holiday weekend lots of walkers, dogs, cyclists, etc.

Water levels weren't too bad with some colour in the water. Managed to get five trout to hand, lost another 5 or 6. Did see some fish taking off the surface at one location, even with the bright sunlight shining on the water. A few casts into this area brought one trout to hand.
