Fished from 9:30 to 14:00. Weather mostly overcast with the odd drizzly shower.
Very little surface movement but had success with a nymph setup, and had most fish on a beaded caddis including one belting fish of around 2lb, a PB for me. Missed just as many as I caught.
Fantastic best, stunning scenery.

A really wild beat. Loads of trees across the stream which look quite recent falls.
Water level was very low and fish easily spooked. Managed to Induce a few splashy takes but nothing that came to hand.

Lots of chub but we couldn't tempt any barbel, apart from a small one, from their usual haunts. Also worth noting that some chub were leaking milt from their vents so possibly still some spawning going on. Tried different sizes of pellet and caught on them all.

2 anglers first time fishing a brook. No fish caught or even seen. I blame the novice anglers not the brook. Beautiful area although very overgrown and quite a bit of rubbish.
