Lots of small barbel from the pool at peg 10. River level a bit low.

Excellent weather, overcast and warm. 1 small fish seen, none caught. Many canoes, all day. Some people even swimming opposite parking area.

3 Trout, 5 Chub

Wet fly from south bank but no luck.

Low water with a strong downstream breeze. Most fish taken on dark bodied gold head nymphs in the faster water. Several on dry fly, olive Klink, late afternoon. Fishing buddy Alex Fidgen had the pleasure of seeing two otters in the reeds and water below the hut as he was waiting for me to return from the bottom of the beat. Also had a fly by from a very low level Hercules.

Fished in the evening, took a while to get into the fish. I lost a large fish late on! Perplexed to say the least.

Fishing was very hard as river low and clear, most fish caught on pellet from lower beat.

6 Barbel, 4 Chub

Nice to be back at Middle hill Court this is are third trip to this beat. Fished the 8th and 9th on Middle Hill Court, fishing was hard. River was low and slow, with bight sun shine all day, not best fishing weather but put in the effort and you will be rewarded. Fished all of the swims that were accessible, quite a few that would have liked to fish but were to over grown. Most of the fish came from two swims along the beat with the biggest being 9 lb 1oz. we Had three 8's and three 7's as well as some smaller ones.
Would like to thank WUF for two good days fishing, will definitely be back next year.
