Lovely sunny day - but no fish.

Wet Fly. Very low and bright.

2 Trout

All returned. Bright day and river low and clear but fish in 1/2lb to best at 1 1/2 lb. 2 to dry fly (cdc daddy that was similar in size and colour to the hatch of olives), rest to black stonefly nymph.

5 Trout

Fine warm weather. Steady hatch of fly for most of the day. Mainly olives. Some march brown and grannom. Water low and little surface movement from trout. A few very small fish taken on wet fly. snipe/purple, usk nailer.

Three nice size Brown's all caught on a pheasant tail, all fish returned. Beautiful stretch of river.

A nice stretch of river, some big deep pools. Very bright day and river very low.

10 Trout

A beautiful, bright afternoon. Fished for a few hours and found four rising fish. Bumped two landed two, 9" and 14". A pruned olive emerger fished in the surface worked for me.

2 Trout

It was one of those perfect days. A crisp frosty morning quickly turned warm and sunny. We only fished from 10:30 until 14:00 on the very bottom part of the beat. Numerous grayling were caught in the last riffles and trout caught in the upper rapids. One salmon parr also caught (a first!). There was a sensational hatch at one point where for 15 minutes the water was alive with mostly grayling taking march browns. Most grayling caught on small green french nymphs and the trout on large stone fly nymphs. We sadly had to leave at 14:00 to catch a flight.

No sign of any salmon.

Beautiful sunny day with light wind. Though little sign of fish activity. Lovely looking beat but again access proved extremely difficult and dangerous for much of it.
High bank with very steep incline means there are only a few places to enter the water for wading safely there. So no fishing attempted on the day due to risks.
