Started at end of beat but river pushing through. L N had 6 chub. Nothing myself so moved up to bend still nothing. Colin came and put me in a peg upstream. 4 casts 2 barbel, 1 chub and a lost fish, that was it though. L N moved up but struggled. We decided to move a last time to get closer to car. The peg I tried produced nothing, the peg L.N dropped in was best of day, he had 7 barbel, 1 chub and lost a fish in last hour and half or so. Be careful of bank towards end of beat very slippy.

River at nice level but no fish seen or caught. By 3pm the river started to rise and colour up but still a great day out. My mate was fishing for grayling but could not find them in the high water, but did manage some trout.
Thanks wusk.

River conditions not too bad although quite coloured and rising it was fishable. After 7 hours without a bite very glad to pack up and go home, it had rained all day the banks were very slippery and muddy making some of the swims quite dangerous to fish. Also lost quite a lot of tackle as every swim l fished appeared to contain a lot of snags.
