We had a great days fishing with four barbel caught 6am - 7am then quiet until 2pm with 2 two barbel in 10 mins, six in total, same swim. Chub caught on bread when not fishing for barbel. All barbel in fantastic condition and between 6 - 9lb. Never saw a person all day but loads of wildlife. Had to leave for wives unfortunately at 5.30pm so missed a bit!

Standard feeder / pellet approach accounted for most fish, which due to low river conditions came in the morning and evening. Biggest Barbel 8lb 14 oz.
First river Barbel, we were seriously impressed by the service and ethos of WUF.

The river was running fast, low and clear, with a surprising lack of weed. Started early and started bad with a dead barbel in the swim. Managed half a dozen fish before a midday break. Interesting chat with Rudi at lunchtime and then resumed late afternoon. Fish seemed to come onto the fed when the light dulled and had a good evening. Thanks, back in September!

Great day out. Beautiful stretch of the Wye. Some lovely fish caught. Hard fighting fish! We would fish it again.

A beautiful beat but the fish were very elusive! Despite trying a variety of techniques only 1 fish came to the net with only 2 more 'pricked'. River was clear (as was the sky for most of the day) with a good flow. We didn't stay late so perhaps we missed the best time. Wading in the rocky gullies was trickey and a wading stick was essential. Will return sometime as there must be more fish in this lovely river.

Some fish moving but no offers or takes. Fished Crewil Pool, good instructions on how to find the beat.

Hot, bright day. River at a nice height, perhaps a touch low, but certainly starting to warm up. We fished 3 hours mid to late afternoon. 3 trout from half to one and a half pounds on weighted nymphs. Very little surface activity with just the occasional rising fish to cast to. A nice beat. Lovely to be there.

Fairly windy conditions, little to be seen rising and no luck on a range of wet flies!
