Found the river in good condition, fining down nicely after the recent rain. There was a steady hatch and fish rose throughout the day. A stiff downstream wind in the morning led me to fish a team of wets down and across with a heavy GRHE on the point. The lowest field was the most productive, I hooked five and netted three - the biggest a lovely fish just over a pound. Met a few other friendly anglers on the beat but there was plenty of scope for everyone. Definitely worth coming again.

Fish taken on a variety of flies Kilnkhammers, Para Adams, PTN and GRHE. Plenty of fish rising when I arrived at 10am. Missed serval large fish in the 2.5 - 3lb range. Most fish averaging around a 1lb. A good days fishing the only down side was two anglers turning up on the opposite and bank, both of who jumped no more than 100yards in front of me and started fishing!

Warm day, cloud shielding the sun, a truly beautiful spring day. Very slow start with nothing rising and little fly life. This all changed at about 1pm when the river came to life with rising fish in pool after pool. Mixed hatch of LDO's and some sedge.
Managed 12wbt (all returned) all on an Adams Para. The most extraordinary thing is that 10 of these fish were over 9 inches with the biggest 14". It's astonishing that this relatively small stream holds so many decent sized fish. And what beautiful fish they are too, adorned with those characteristic red spots.
Despite 6 1/2 hours wading, still haven't reached the end of this beat!

First time on my Wild Stream Season Ticket and more than happy with availability and the ease to check on waters, process is very good.
The water downstream of the weir was very difficult to access, a lot of fallen trees/branches and overhung branches in the way of some good looking swims. Upstream of the weir swims were easier to fish but poor bank access once again restricted where you could manoeuvre into position - more work is required to place cross over points along the ditches and boggy areas in the top meadows + covered barbed wire access points would be good in the chest wader department.
From a fishing perspective, the river was in good trim and fished reasonably well - 2 WBT from the weir pool in the morning on a tungsten nymph + 1 WBT taken on a dry in the top pool before lunch. The afternoon produced a good sized Grayling upstream of the weir on a tungsten nymph and then 3 WBT on a dry in the top pools.
There wasn't a significant hatch but enough activity to suggest it will fish better given warmer conditions.
A nice little beat & next time will probably combine this with another beat such as Court of Noke or Eardisland on the day.

Rising fish on the slower water at the bottom of the beat all day, save for an hour or two around 5 o'clock. 3 decent trout caught, all around the pound, and about a half dozen on and off. They seemed to be keen on an Imperial in size 14 or 16 (when I lost all my 14's)! Didn't make contact with any small fish and a much bigger one straightened out what was a very weak hook! Great fun, seem to be lots of trout here. Brook Dun, Olive Upright and increasingly Yellow Mays about.

Nice spot, some movements, regretly I had to return very quickly to Northampton. I'll be back with more time.
Several rises, some little trout were rising to a dry fly.
Very nice spot, easy to find the park. By the way the box for the vouchers is very helpfull (don't pick up).

A fine days fishing with trout rising to LDOs, a good hatch of March Browns was largely ignored along with the odd late Grannom. Most fish were taken on Olive F fly, 2 to Cock winged dun and one to a grannom pupa.
