No fish, one bite that came off.

Good directions, nice beat very windy day which made it hard going trotting. Only a small trout towards the end of the day. Thanks.

Super day on the River Wye, fished dawn till dusk for pike but had no runs. Will return hope to get a bend in the rod next time. Thanks Wuf.

No fish caught: very high water levels and dirty water. In any case a very good day spent in a fabulous landscape very different Italian one. See you next time!

Nice beat last mild day before turning cold. A mixed bag small trout, grayling, dace and chub trotting with maggots and bread.

5 Chub on bread and cheese paste. River still holding a lot of colour and fish were hard to find. Fished almost every swim and caught from two.

Rather cold today as I arrived at the river about ten o clock. I was in pursuit of a few big chub that I have seen at Gromain on occasions but only managed a few grayling and three o.o.s. brownies who took a liking to sweet corn. Nice to be on the river once more after all this rain.

The lake was totally frozen over. Walked all the way round it and couldn't find a single unfrozen bit. Stayed for a few hrs but headed home when it became apparent it wasn't going to thaw.

After a very slow and icey, scary drive along the old hospital road (do take care on this winding lane) we arrived at the Gofynne beat which is a beautiful part of the river Irfon. It was a cold start at 3 degrees. We fished nymphs and bugs in the clear water and had to fish a lot of the beat to find the elusive Grayling. C found a few rising fish swapped the nymphs over to a small tan F fly and was straight into a hard fighting Grayling which he nicely played into the net a lovely conditioned fish about 1.5lb. He took another good fighting Grayling. I
was not so lucky. We saw a big salmon as we crossed the river. Saw one Cormarant fly over.

River still on the drop after recent floods. Arrived on a bitterly cold morning and struggled all day to get a bait presented well with the amount of debris flowing through - no fish on either rods all day. Disappointed after making the long walk there and back for no return.
