Nil bites. 18 inches down from Tuesday, clear, and I fished widely on beat 3 in a few hours evening session. Without the extensive weed this year I dont feel the food source is there and neither were the fish on this day.

3 Rainbow trout between 1.25lbs and 1.5lbs, caught on worm.

A beatiful stretch of river, although it would be good to have a few more swims made. Caught 3 Barbel and 2 Chub.

24 trout taken up to 1lbs 5oz.

First time at How Caple Court, 4 anglers in two cars, did look at parking both cars at the downstram end but decided to use the middle access track which was fine as the ground was dry and hard, not sure what it would have been like wet? In total we managed 22 barbel and 14 chub between us. One angler netting 9 barbel and 3 chub with the next best catch being 6 barbel to over 9lbs on ledgered pellet as well as 10 chub taken on float fished sweetcorn on what was another very hot day. Not too may swims to go at as we do enjoy roving around but all in all another fantastic day on the Wye.

One Rudd fell to sweetcorn early on and a lot of missed bites followed from many more small rudd. Tried every bait possible but to no avail. A couple of carp could be seen swimming around towards the end of the day but were frustratingly impossible to tempt. Lovely location though, all in all, a very pleasant but sadly fishless day.

Top pool completely clogged with weed and totally un-fishable, bottom pool very low with a film of oily residue on the surface.
Have reported to WUF and am still awaiting a response and refund.

10 WBT in total, nice evening, plenty of fly life but no action on the surface.
