Nothing. River very low. Nothing rising despite abundant insect life throughout the day. Nothing caught despite 3 runs at the stretch using a variety of nymphs and wets. Well maintained and should be great fun when the water gets to a decent level (and the fish return?).

6 brown trout to 1.5lbs (all released) plus a couple of dace in 4 hours of fishing. All fish caught on cdc emergers on the flats or small gold headed nymphs in the faster water. Got broken off by something very large in the tail of the Mill Race which came up and took a klinkhammer before tearing off at a rate of knots. Not the easiest day's fishing but overall a very enjoyable afternoon.

Mixture of trout and grayling to mainly nymphs. Best trout around 30cm. Rising fish seem to be taking black gnat, a few sedge about early in the morning. Interesting days fishing fish mainly in the faster broken water.

Lots of salmon smolts still evident in desperate need of some water to get them to sea!!!

Nice setting, very low water. 4 small trout (to 7 inches)and a few out of season grayling. Most taken on parachute Adams. Various families skimmming stones from opposite bank and 2 canoeists made an appearance during the afternoon-the joys of a bank holiday weekend in the sun.
