Weather was beautiful, but the water was really rather high and fast moving. Didn´t see anything move all morning. Then in early afternoon had a few knocks on goldhead nymphs and finally took a 1lb trout. In the evening a tiny grayling and another even tinier brown were caught. Great day, but can´t wait to come back at slightly lower, warmer water with more flies hatching.

2 Trout - Brown, kept. Very hot day, many smaller fish seen rising throughout but not taking. Both fish caught around 8.30pm on Yellow bodied "daddy long legs" interpretations.
Once again, very reliable and smooth dealings with the Foundation and would again recommend the beat.

Absolutley beautiful day , lovely and warm , which helped dry me out after I fell in. Bit of a contrast from the last time I was here when I got stuck in the snow! Bit too bright for the fish though I think, caught 2 grayling 6 inch & 10 inch, two trout about 8 inch, caught this in a area sheltered by the trees out of the sun. A few olives hatching, no sign of any fish rising. Apart from the four fish caught around lunch time, the morning and afternoon were dead. Most unusual for this beat.

4 brown trout - 1lb 4oz, 1lb 3oz, 2lb, 2lb 8oz - all returned. 3 caught on copper john nymph, 1 on parachute adams (on the dropper).
Warm with hazy sunshine - glorious spring fishing. A few small duns hatching, but only saw 2 rises all day. All takes were in faster water (last May when I last fished here I caught fish in slower sections).

Everything was perfect - warm and sunny, little wind, river clear and falling after much rain, olives and stoneflies hatching but I didn't catch a thing and never saw a fish all day. C'est la vie.
