1 barbel just over 7lb on halibut pellet. Access to the fishery is via a narrow road leading to a narrower track. The final decent down a very steep hill through a field to the riverbank would be very difficult in anything other than a 4wd vehicle. Driving out again after any rain would be impossible in anything but 4wd. Banks are steep here too but it is a nice stretch of the river. The walk back up the hill carrying gear is a tightner.

Nothing caught or seen today. The river came up 6”” during the day. Clear first thing but quite coloured by late afternoon.

Changed swim before the rain hit after a quiet morning and had 4 quick Barbel before sunset.

Nice beat - the chub were sociable, the barbel a little less so.

First time on the Wye, had a good day!! 7lb 12oz Barbel, first cast. Steady action all day. Biggest Barbel 8lb 12oz . Boillies and pellet feeder for the Barbel. Chub on meat. Decided not to brave the track. Realistically unless you have a 4x4 or the ground is bone dry you’d struggle.It’s a long walk back though !!

Overcast with rain later, river steady. Slow days fishing couple of chub and barbel of 4lb and 8lb.

A good day on a coloured but lowering river level . Barbel up to 9 lbs and chubs to plus 4 lbs fell to meat and pellet baits.

Started fishing at 2:30 - finished 5:30 - lots of rapid water - 2 barbel 1 chub from a third of the way out
