A wonderful day’s fishing. Not the biggest fish but great fun. The pathway along the fishery is very over grown and is in need of a cut. I’ve never seen so much rubbish along the river

Fished the evening from 6pm to dusk using feeder and pellet tactics. Bites were hard to come by for some reason. Perhaps the fish were spawning. However, it was an enjoyable evening in a beautiful setting.

A surprisingly good evening rise, from about 9pm to 10.30pm, and hatch of BWO's (?) at about 9.30. 4 trout to 16" on CDC dun (18) and, later, elk hair caddis (16). Exciting battle with 16-incher (just under 2 pounds), which proved to have been hooked in the chin.
