Stunning stretch! Loads of swims. We fished mostly near the NT property. Despite rain all day we had a lovely time. Slow going but very enjoyable.

Very disappointed that no mention in the fishing guide highlighted that the walk down to the field from car parking was heart attack territory for a 70 year old. I fished with my Uncle and he had real problems with the walk down to the field. Sure it mentions that some of the pegs are steep and travel light which we did and we found some pegs no problem there, but the initial walk down from where you park should be included in the beat description. Poor show here.

The fishing itself was very hard, tried a number of pegs but nothing apart from a small chub on meat. Tried a waggler, feeder and rolling bait. The river itself was low and a lot of algae smothered rocks, the river not very clear - not a great beat and definitely would not be back here.

River very low and after very hot days previously we faced a very low river. However with rain forecast all day we thought we may have a couple of barbel. Very slow day with just 2 chub to show for our efforts. We covered the whole stretch but the fish just did not switch on.

Great to see weed on the river bed though

Nice to be back on the river even if it was a wet day. 1 barbel and 2 chubb caught to luncheon meet, the other barbel was to a boillie, all in the middle part of the lower end of the beat.

Very nice to see the work put in to clear the swims giving plenty of space to spread your gear out, canoes were a slight hindrance s as they were close to the back so having to shout out when lines were in the water.

2 Barbel, 2 Chub
